Dunkability | January 10, 2006 at 08:22 AM

Personally, I'm split between Scotch Fingers and Tim Tams, although I wouldn't technically dunk the Tim Tam, but "Slam" it down. As for the Scotch Fingers, they're quite filling, so you can't really eat that many in one sitting.

Piracy | December 25, 2005 at 10:50 AM

silvertongedevil: I don't think it's an issue you could get an acurate poll on, the subject is too complicated. reading the last posts it seems obvious most people think alike anyway. If you create art then you should be rewarded for it but when people like Catherine Zeta-Jones can boast 6 houses of her own (and I don't mean just houses) then I have to wonder why I would want to put my hand into my pocket and spend hard earned on someone who already has so much they don't know how to spend it.

More options and I'll vote

Well hey, its not like its a poll of the entire internet, just on this community. I guess it just means that we're all somewhat like minded =)

As for options, what kind are you talking about? I think i sorta covered all bases, albeit quite generally.

Piracy | December 24, 2005 at 11:12 AM

nah, but i get the feeling i can download them though ;P
well anyways, once i get a job, i'll probably go out and buy the box sets anyway. The video quality can vary from download to download.

Piracy Warnings. | December 24, 2005 at 01:40 AM

Get this, my friend recently bought a DVD burner, and set off copying his friend's DVD's, and has come accross a hidden piracy message. In the burnet copy, some time into the movie, about half way though, a red devil, pitchfork and all, comes up and keeps saying how bad piracy is.

Ah Stalin You Maniac | December 24, 2005 at 01:18 AM

If you check that other thread about piracy, you'll see that I've downloaded all eight and a half seasons of SG-1, and watched it all in the past five months. I currently intend on watching it all over again. So Pete, what say you? ;P

Piracy | December 24, 2005 at 01:14 AM

Quite true, after all it is nice to have something real and paid for in your hands. To be honest, I download heaps of stuff off the net, but so far it's mainly been Stargate episodes (all eight and a half seasons!), but I do intend on purchasing the box sets later. Which brings me to another point, if you do pirate/download thigs, do you end up going out and buying the real thing?

Top 10 Pc Case Mods | December 23, 2005 at 03:51 PM

ah yes, i was quite into the moding scene jsut a while back, and i came accross the r2d2 mod. go checkout The Best Case Scenario as well. The Doom3 is pretty cool, and Nighthawk mod is unbelieveable.

Uber Storage! | December 23, 2005 at 03:47 PM

yeah, the cpu industry has come to a bit of a standstill...traditionally, they increased speed by reducing the size of the transistors etc. and now they've come to a bit of a limit. if they go any smaller, theres stuff like cross talk and electron leakage, so now their moving to multi-core.

In terms of storage, just in DVD, the near future we may well have another format war much like the VHS\Betamax war, with Bluray and HD DVD formats.

Ah Stalin You Maniac | December 23, 2005 at 03:34 PM

Well, back to the original topic, that seems like Stalin was like Anubis in SG-1 and his Kull Warriors, if you guys don't mind the analogy. A little like the Burns\Gou'uld Analogy I guess...

Hrm...maybe I've been watching too much Stargate.

Piracy | December 23, 2005 at 03:24 PM

This being a new site and forum, I'm curious as to everyone's stance towards piracy. So tell me, what do you think?

The New Suprnova | December 23, 2005 at 03:09 PM

Suprnova was under too much legal pressure. The site owner decieded to support some new P2P program which didn't require any trackers. YOu gotta love Wikipedia ;P
