Finally got around to watching this. Liked both 1 and 3, but after that things went to shit short and sharp, with Dominion and Legend or whatever they were.

Anyway, this is a decent horror flick, doesn't have quite the impact of the Exorcist as big chunks of it are 'more of the same'.

What totally ruined it for me was Richard Burton. I've seen him in so many fucking war movies, I kept on expecting Nazis to burst in through the windows, and Good ol' Dick to massacre the fucking lot of them with a submachine gun from under his cassock. Added a whole new dimension to the film, I can tell you. I half expected him to rip off his dog collar and announce he was really a double agent for British Intelligence.

But aside from that, an ok flick. I'm not religious myself, unless you count Alcoholism as a denomination, but I can certainly see why these films put the shits up a lot of people.
