Furniture Of Adventure | December 19, 2005 at 06:44 PM

There's also the disturbing "It wasn't a sacrifice, just a con." angle, which will have Christians everywhere doubting their religion.

Furniture Of Adventure | December 19, 2005 at 06:23 PM

I can just see the wee boy at the graveside now. "And this is when she comes back, right?

"For the last time, NO! She's fucking DEAD! When the vicar says 'resurrection' he doesn't mean NOW."

Hot Fuzz | December 19, 2005 at 03:02 PM

Well, with Spaced Series 3 almost certainly a 'No' now, this will have to do, I suppose. I hope they keep knocking out films as good as SOTD. That'll make my decade.

Outbreak Of Common Sense | December 19, 2005 at 10:23 AM

Aye, special needs.

Furniture Of Adventure | December 19, 2005 at 10:22 AM

I was totally flabbergasted by one stupid fool of a parent. Kid turns round and asks "Is Aslan dead, mam?" and she goes "No, he'll be back in a minute."

I just sat there thinking 'What's the point?' while restraining myself from standing up and saying "Madam, you are a damn fool. If you were a man, I would challenge you to fisticuffs"

Some people shouldn't be allowed to have children. Spoiling fucking films for children who don't know any better.

I dunno, I've never heard 'ambulance chaser' made to sound as grand before.

But yes, perfect point. Not to mention the film presented said sacrifice as a sort of con, as nothing was actually lost, so nothing was actually sacrificied, which sort of pisses on the whole Jesus allegory.

Outbreak Of Common Sense | December 18, 2005 at 04:34 PM

That's the sort of thing it's nice to see. People being made to take responsibility for their actions.

Thank you. Hope you enjoy it more than I did.

Auction Fever! | December 16, 2005 at 10:11 AM

No, there are enemies, but without weapons you just have to scarper and lock doors behind you, which delays them for a wee while.

Auction Fever! | December 15, 2005 at 09:03 PM

What's easy?

Auction Fever! | December 15, 2005 at 06:55 PM

FPS horror adventure. No HUD, so it's immersive. You don't even get any weapons for the first few hours of gameplay, apparently, which I think is a nice touch. Seems to have recieved good reviews pretty much everywhere, solid eight out of tens.

I'm looking forward to it, to say the least.

Got interested in a game monikered Call of Cthulhu for Xbox. FPS adventure game, graphics nothing special but gameplay was meant to be good and I've always had a spot for gothic horror, and it's been a while since I bought a 'new' game, I find myself getting more and more retro as I look at newer consoles and PCs with their ever-rising costs.

Had a bit of a nose around, ummed and ahhed, then checked out my favourite place to shop, ebay, where everything can usually be found cheaper than anywhere else.

Found a copy in short order, five hours to go, all of five quid fifty in price. Used, but not too shabby.

I figured it would double and stop there, seeing as you can get it new and cheap from other places.

But no. It went on, and soon ended up at £20 plus. This confuses me. I know a few people who use ebay, and they generally check everywhere before buying or selling on there. I just don't understand why someone is so blind as to do this.

Confused.

That would be great. Censorship censors self. We could get a lot of mileage out of that.
